Barber (from the Latin barba, "beard") is a person whose profession specializes in the cutting, styling, dressing, grooming, and shaving of topical and facial hair. Traditionally the practice focused mainly on male clients, but over the years we find that female clients with "low cuts" prefer barbers over hair salons as they opt for someone who specializes in close cut styles. A barber's place of work is commonly known as a "barber shop", or "the barber's".

Elvin Ocasio was born in 1981 in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and by 1997 he had clippers in his hands! It wasn't long until his peers began noticing his unique skills, word got around, and soon his garage was the local Barbershop. It was this moment that he knew he had found his calling. Despite the doubts and negativity he received from some due to his young age, Elvin pressed forward to perfect his craft, and eventually earned his barbering license. Today Elvin Ocasio has over 20 years of experience in the barbering industry. He is nationally known for his edgy barbering style and professional expertise. He has competed in many Barber Battles nationwide placing first among leaders in the industry. Currently, he is also the ambassador of the "Johnny B." hair product line. Elvin is also the founder of "ShearJunkies" Barber Shop and the creator of the famous "Spear Fade" cut. What sets Elvin apart isn’t that he made it to that upper echelon of celebrity barbering to which many aspire! it’s simply that he retains a unique focus on providing the highest level of service without compromising his unique style and flair.
